With a minimal amount of maintenance, your aluminium window, doors and screen products will look good and last for years.  Warranty for your product requires maintenance in accordance with industry recommendations. These are summarised below.

Maintenance of the Aluminium Frame

  • Use warm water and a mild detergent with a soft cloth
  • Thoroughly rinse with clean water
  • Dry with a chamois or soft cloth
  • Under no circumstances use an abrasive or caustic cleaner as these will damage the powdercoat surface
  • To help maintain the surface shine you may choose to use a light application of a non-abrasive car polish
  • Cleaning should be carried out at the following intervals:
    • Rural or Suburbs: At least 6 monthly
    • Industrial or Coastal: At least 3 monthly
    • Severe conditions: At least monthly

Maintenance of the Glass

  • Water and mild detergent as necessary
  • Never use a razor blade or abrasive cleaner as they may damage the glass surface

Maintenance of the Hardware

  • Keep surface of locks, rollers, hinges, etc, clean by use of a non-abrasive cleaner
  • Periodically apply a light lubricant spray to internal workings (eg. silicone spray)
  • To maintain roller wheels of doors and windows ensure tracks and channels are kept free of dirt and fluff, as dirt grains will cause the roller to jam and flatten on the track edge
